Job Summary: Position Available Immediately
General Requirements:
• Must be willing to work up to 40 hours per week (longer hours possible to meet customer demands)
• Able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 90 lbs. plus work outdoors and indoors in all weather
• Must have good organizational, multi-tasking skills
Target Responsibilities:
• Wash cars and make sure cars are lined up and ready for techs
• Shuttle cars inside and outside as needed for loads coming in and out, keeping lined up cars neat
• Stage equipment for service techs throughout the day
• Keep staging areas for equipment organized
• Load and unload equipment customers are picking up or dropping off
• Complete local light or individual deliveries when needed
• Thoroughly clean equipment prior to it entering the service department
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, improve and promote quality, and monitor own work to ensure quality
• Observe all safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
• Treat management and other employees with respect, and contribute to building a positive team spirit
• Work with integrity, always upholding company values
• Perform related responsibilities/accountabilities as required or directed
• Begin each workday with a positive attitude by encouraging your team members to meet their goals

• Clean filters, change tires, detail cars as needed
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area, as well as assisting in keeping the entire shop clean and orderly
• Collect and dispose of trash
• Respond promptly to team members’ needs to help improve the profitability of the service department and the satisfaction of the customers
• Inspect, clean, and maintain all equipment used
• Report to the Service Manager any hazards or faulty equipment
• Discuss any areas for improvement or changes in the processes with the Service Manager

 

Parts Manager/Service Assistant, Full-Time: Job Description
Facility: Harris Golf Cars – Sugar Grove, IL
Job Summary: Position Available Immediately
This position is responsible for customer contact, external and internal communication, and managing the workflow in the parts, service, and retail area. Customer Satisfaction is a priority

The Parts Manager must work closely with all of the Harris Golf Car locations for parts, service and communication. Duties will regularly include taking parts calls, assisting customers with parts and service questions, coordinating service of customers between the locations, transferring inventory, and assisting with inventory management. The Parts Manager will be responsible for ensuring all parts are available for the techs based on the work orders prior to routing through the work area. Parts Manager will work very closely with Service Manager to assist with day to day operations and to assist with service and shop duties in all aspects.

This person will work with walk in retail customers for sales and service. This person will insure that all showroom and other retail cars are clean, properly priced and displayed with correct information for easier sales efforts.

Clean driving history with knowledge of pulling trailers a plus. Will train the right person to pull a trailer. Must be willing to work 40 – 50 hours per week. Must have good organizational, multitasking and reasonable computer skills.

Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Three or more years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of general mechanics of small gas and electric motors is needed. Strong communication skills and the willingness to supervise employees. Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge is very beneficial.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for transporting golf cars, turf vehicles to and from golf course and store locations. Delivering Golf Cars to dealers throughout IL, IA, WI. You will be required to work some weekends and some holidays throughout the Spring, Summer, & Fall months.
Responsibilities: Make deliveries or pickups from customers. Perform trip inspections and log keeping. Report to manager/ service writer. Keep tractor and trailer clean. Load and unload the trailers safely.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), CDL class A license with clean driving history and able to drive manual transmission. Pass CDL drug test and must have a CDL medical exam card. Keep current on DOT regulations.

Service Technician, Full Time: Job Description
Facility: Harris Golf Cars – Dubuque, IA, Sugar Grove, IL & Sturevant, WI
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for general mechanical service on electrical and gasoline golf cars, turf vehicles, and trailers.
Responsibilities: Performs daily mechanical services/repairs to golf vehicles, turf units and trailers. Performs assigned duties at the shop or on-site at customers location. They will make deliveries or pickups from customers to provide continuity of service and maintenance of accounts. Performs on the road service calls, and provides sales leads and customer information to service manager/writer. The service tech must complete necessary work orders, part orders, delivery reports, time sheets, and other paperwork required to document the mechanical work and other duties accomplished. Maintains accurate parts inventory on company truck, and drives company vehicles as required.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Mechanical knowledge of engines and electrical. Experience in auto/small engines is a plus but willing to train the right candidate. Clean driving history with knowledge of pulling trailers.
