A-Level Service Tech, Full Time: Job Description
Facility: Harris Golf Cars – Dubuque, IA

Job Summary: This position is responsible for general mechanical service on electrical and gasoline golf cars, turf vehicles and trailers. This position would also provide leadership and training to other less experienced technicians while maintaining a high level of safety and respect.

Daily Responsibilities: Performs mechanical services/repairs to golf vehicles, turf units and trailers. Performs assigned duties at the shop or on-site at customers location. They will make deliveries or pickups from customers to provide continuity of service and maintenance of accounts. Performs on the road service calls, and provides sales leads and customer information to service manager/writer. The service tech must complete necessary work orders, part orders, delivery reports, time sheets, and other paperwork required to document the mechanical work and other duties accomplished. Maintains accurate parts inventory on company truck, and drives company vehicles as required.

Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Mechanical knowledge of engines and electrical. Experience in auto/small engines plus have strong analytical and decision-making skills. Willing to provide direction to other technicians. Clean driving history with knowledge of pulling trailers.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 85 pounds.

Service Coordinator/Billing Specialist, Full-Time: Job Description
Facility: Harris Golf Cars – Dubuque, IA
Job Summary: This position is two-fold: Service Coordinator and Service Billing Specialist. As a Service Coordinator, you will work directly with customers to provide quality service as part of the Harris Team to ensure our customers receive the services needed in a timely and organized fashion. As a Service Billing Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the service billing process for our customers in a timely and accurate manner.

General Requirements:
• 1-3 years of industry experience related to customer service, scheduling and billing.
• Strong team member with positive attitude and persistence to excel.
• Able to assess the service needs of our customers and provide direction for service team in resolving customer issues.
• Strong communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
• Proven superior customer service skills, including interpersonal conversations, patience and flexibility.
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills a must
• Answer telephone and respond to customer needs timely and professionally.
• Effective and accurate computer skills needed to perform lookup and create/maintain service orders.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel & MS Word, in particular)

Responsibilities:
• Review work orders for complete and accurate information
• Determine work order requirements and priority. Communicate those requirements with Shop and Parts managers.
• Process daily work orders and warranty claims in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Maintain service board daily and report variances as needed with appropriate team members.
• Present as primary point of contact for all service for internal and external Harris customers.
• Ensure customer is given the necessary services and follow up to fill their ongoing service needs.
• Monitor customer service contracts and equipment inspections in timely fashion to insure our equipment, as well as that of our customer, is meeting expectations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to improve the customer experience as well as improve overall efficiency targets.
• Conduct customer survey and report results to management team.
• In an ongoing effort to the Harris commitment to EXCELLENCE, this position will be responsible for the organization and appearance of the service departments.

 

Parts Manager/Service Assistant (Sign-On/Retention Bonus), Full-Time: Job Description
Facility: Harris Golf Cars – Sugar Grove, IL
Job Summary: Position Available Immediately
This position is responsible for customer contact, external and internal communication, and managing the workflow in the parts, service, and retail area. Customer Satisfaction is a priority

The Parts Manager must work closely with all of the Harris Golf Car locations for parts, service and communication. Duties will regularly include taking parts calls, assisting customers with parts and service questions, coordinating service of customers between the locations, transferring inventory, and assisting with inventory management. The Parts Manager will be responsible for ensuring all parts are available for the techs based on the work orders prior to routing through the work area. Parts Manager will work very closely with Service Manager to assist with day to day operations and to assist with service and shop duties in all aspects.

This person will work with walk in retail customers for sales and service. This person will insure that all showroom and other retail cars are clean, properly priced and displayed with correct information for easier sales efforts.

Clean driving history with knowledge of pulling trailers a plus. Will train the right person to pull a trailer. Must be willing to work 40 – 50 hours per week. Must have good organizational, multitasking and reasonable computer skills.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for transporting golf cars, turf vehicles to and from golf course and store locations. Delivering Golf Cars to dealers throughout IL, IA, WI. You will be required to work some weekends and some holidays throughout the Spring, Summer, & Fall months.
Responsibilities: Make deliveries or pickups from customers. Perform trip inspections and log keeping. Report to manager/ service writer. Keep tractor and trailer clean. Load and unload the trailers safely.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), CDL class A license with clean driving history and able to drive manual transmission. Pass CDL drug test and must have a CDL medical exam card. Keep current on DOT regulations.
