Semi Driver, Full Time: Job Description

Facility: Harris Golf Cars – Sugar Grove, IL
Job Summary: This position is responsible for transporting golf cars, turf vehicles to and from golf course and store locations. Delivering Golf Cars to dealers throughout IL, IA, WI. You will be required to work some weekends and some holidays throughout the Spring, Summer, & Fall months.
Responsibilities: Make deliveries or pickups from customers. Perform trip inspections and log keeping. Report to manager/ service writer. Keep tractor and trailer clean. Load and unload the trailers safely.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), CDL class A license with clean driving history and able to drive manual transmission. Pass CDL drug test and must have a CDL medical exam card. Keep current on DOT regulations.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Parts Manager, Full Time: Job Description

Facility: Harris Golf Cars – Dubuque, IA
Job Summary: This position is responsible for managing the parts counter and inventory at 3 locations as well as placing orders with all parts vendors and overseeing all shipping & receiving.

Responsibilities: Order, receive and stock parts in correct bin, keeping a clean and orderly department. Analyze stocking needs, establishing gross margins, knowing and using manufacturers programs for data, returns, ordering and warranty filing. Responsible for the profitability of the parts department and supervision of parts counter person. The parts manager would also be responsible for training of staff on all policies, procedures and computer systems. Continually demonstrate excellent communication skills with employees and customers, providing customers with great customer service. Demonstrate excellent computer skills for basic clerical duties, purchase orders, price filing, internet, online ordering and credit filing. Managing the requirements of internal and external parts needs and facilitating transfer of inventory between locations accurately and efficiently. Monitor backorders and investigate alternative suppliers and products. Establish and supervise cycle counts and full physical inventory as necessary at all locations.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have 5+ years parts management experience in a retail environment and excellent mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of two- and four-cycle engines is required. Know Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiar with POS systems and online parts lookups, adequate product knowledge and understand unit pricing. Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and timely follow up with internal and external customers.

Service Technician, Full Time: Job Description

Facility: Harris Golf Cars – Dubuque, IA, Sugar Grove, IL & Sturevant, WI
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for general mechanical service on electrical and gasoline golf cars, turf vehicles, and trailers.
Responsibilities: Performs daily mechanical services/repairs to golf vehicles, turf units and trailers. Performs assigned duties at the shop or on-site at customers location. They will make deliveries or pickups from customers to provide continuity of service and maintenance of accounts. Performs on the road service calls, and provides sales leads and customer information to service manager/writer. The service tech must complete necessary work orders, part orders, delivery reports, time sheets, and other paperwork required to document the mechanical work and other duties accomplished. Maintains accurate parts inventory on company truck, and drives company vehicles as required.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Mechanical knowledge of engines and electrical. Experience in auto/small engines is a plus but willing to train the right candidate. Clean driving history with knowledge of pulling trailers.
