Warranty Statement for Qualified Pre-Owned and Reconditioned Cars
Gas Golf Cars:
Harris Golf Cars offers a two year warranty on qualified (model year 2013 or newer) pre-owned and reconditioned gas cars unless stated otherwise at the time of sale. This warranty includes all electrical components, motor/engine and drive train. This warranty does not include batteries or anything resulting from negligence or damage. Harris Golf Cars reserves the right to decide what constitutes negligence or damage.
In order to receive the full two year warranty, you will be required to schedule a tune up within 30 days of the first anniversary date of your purchase. The standard tune-up fee will be charged. If you can not bring the car to a Harris Golf Cars location for this tune-up, we can schedule an on-site tune-up; however, a service call fee will be charged and will depend on the distance from the nearest Harris Golf Cars location. If the golf car is not tuned up by a Harris Golf Cars service technician within this time frame, the second year of the warranty will not be recognized.
The addition of aftermarket parts and accessories that are not installed by an authorized Yamaha repair shop may void this warranty.
Electric Golf Cars:
Harris Golf Cars offers a one year warranty on qualified (model year 2013 or newer) pre-owned and reconditioned electric golf cars unless stated otherwise at the time of sale. This warranty is only valid if Harris Golf Cars installs NEW batteries on the vehicle at the time of sale. Electric golf car controllers are not covered under this warranty if they are damaged due to lightning strikes or power surges.
- Owner’s Responsibilities:
1. Operate and maintain the golf car (and charger if you have an electric golf car) as specified in the appropriate owner’s manual.
2. Give Harris Golf Cars notice of any and all apparent defects within 7 days after discovery and make the vehicle or charger available at that time of inspection/repairs by our representative.
3. For gas golf car warranty, schedule the tune up to be done by Harris Golf Cars within 30 days of the first anniversary date of your purchase of a gas golf car.
NOTE: Any charge incurred in transporting a golf car or charger to and from a Harris Golf Cars location for service is also excluded from this warranty.
